Régis Galmiche

With over 20 years of experience in engineering information systems, he has played a number of functional, technical and management roles in major projects and transformation programmes.

In the 1980s he worked for Control Data as Sales Engineer for CAD systems. In 1990, he founded General Mechanics SA with a team on friends and engineers, signed a partnership with Silicon Graphics ® and provided services in the field of digital simulation for the aerospace and defence industries and in entertainment industries with the rental business of Unix Silicon Graphics Workstations and servers for 3D special effects companies in the 90s. At that time, the company signed an exclusive partnership with Supermicro computers ® to spread of their technologies in France.

In 2005, he joined the software company Aveva as consultant after sales, which he left in 2012 to join SBM Offshore as head of IT engineering information systems for engineering division. He has role and responsibilities for managing Aveva project administrators and 3D Experience platform ® administrators, as well HPC administration for the company (High Performance Computing).

In 2018, he moves to group IT division as IT project manager responsible for most of IT engineering information systems project, such as; 3D Experience implementation, HPC renewal and development of a Digital Twin for Exxon Prosperity FPSO designed with Aveva Net. In 2022 he left SBM Offshore to create his own company R2G2 Consulting SAS.
